The TAG Heuer Carrera collection was introduced in 1963 as a tribute to the famous Carrera Panamerica Mexico Race. Today Leonardo DiCaprio is the face of this collection, however the Carerra family contains both gents and ladies timepieces. Most of the models in this collection are automatic chronographs, more specifically dual-dial chronographs in either the traditional round shape or the more unusual crescent shape with dials at the three o’clock position and the six o’clock position.

There are also automatic tachymeter variations within the collection that include counter dials at the twelve o’clock and 6 o’clock positions with a small seconds dial at the nine o’clock position and a date display the that three o’clock position. In addition, as is indicated by the name, these timepieces feature a tachymeter scale around the bezel of the watch.
